Shooting of ‘Blue Tears’ completed

After three months of preparation, shooting of the much-awaited online Chinese movie ‘Blue Tears’ was finally concluded on April 2nd Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference, film director Zhu Dan said the next task is editing which might take about a month to complete and they expected the premiere to be sometime in May.

Also, he added that “We are happy that it progressed smoothly and we look forward to the editing. After that, the promotional works through internet will start in April before releasing the trailer whilst the movie is expected to premiere nationwide in China in May,”

“The objective of this movie is not only to promote the local tourism industry, we want this movie to be an inspiration to produce more online movies,” he said.

Blue Tears tells the tale of a young man Ling Fu Sheng, played by Sun Wei, who arrives on the shores of Miri and falls in love with a local girl Katrina.

However, Katrina’s parents vehemently object to their romance, causing the frustrated Ling to return to China and end up marrying someone else.

As the years go by, one day an aging Ling, played by Ringo Yu, tells his grandson that he has never really forgotten his lovely Katrina.

This prompted Ling’s grandson to embark on a journey to Miri where he is determined to find Katrina – his grandfather’s first love.

History seems to repeat itself as Ling’s grandson, in his mission to find Katrina, meets a local girl whom he falls in love with eventually.
